After reading a small journal about Flickr and it’s various benefits, I’ve decided to start using my account again. I did made one a long time ago, and I uploaded a few of my photoshop tutorial creations, (ah those were the days) but now I’ll just be submitting photography.
Hopefully I’ll be able to grab some more exposure with Flickr and tap into yet another online community. Oh and for all those on deviantART, I’m not leaving you, deviantART will always be my favorite social network.

The first of hopefully several shots from a tenting trip last week. It was unfortunate that I didn’t get to enjoy golden hour as much as I’d like too. Nevertheless, for the one sunset I was able to take part in, here are some people, at a skate park.

Nevertheless, the upgrades:
As you most likely have noticed, the homepage now just shows and excerpt, rather than the entire post. This means you can see a lot more in one page, and will make the whole thing much simpler to scan through.
There’s also the floating social bar, on the top right… Continue reading

This is the first shot I’ve uploaded taken with my new 50mm f/1.8 prime. Ironically, it doesn’t actually take advantage of the lenses new features, in any particularly noticeable way.
Anywho, I’m actually very happy with this shot, I like its minimalism and harsh contrast. It also reflects my new found process of using camera colour settings more. It gives me more immediate results and helps me to see what I could do to the shot in post production. Continue reading

For the past 3 days, I’ve been tenting in Toowoon Bay, at The Entrance. Now I say tenting, not camping, because according to my standards, there a few things required until you’re actually camping like a grown-up person.
For one, we were in a holiday park, there was a toilet block right next to us, there was people everywhere we turned and civilization was just on the other side of the park road. Secondly, there wasn’t much of a fire. I say ‘much’ because we did go down to the beach one night and have a little bon-fire. But all of our meals were cooked on the little gas stoves or barbeques in the park. For me it’s just not quite the same. Continue reading
